The purpose of Kelley Vision and Technology Services is to provide comprehensive services aimed at improving the quality of life for individuals with visual impairments and disabilities. Our organization is dedicated to delivering expert evaluation, personalized recommendations, specialized training, and effective advocacy to empower individuals to live more independently and reach their fullest potential.

Evaluations
We offer thorough assessments of the unique needs of individuals with visual impairments and other disabilities. These evaluations include functional vision assessments, assistive technology assessments, and environmental assessments to determine barriers to accessibility. Our goal is to create tailored solutions that promote greater independence.

Personalized Recommendations
Based on our evaluations, we provide personalized recommendations for assistive devices, modifications to living or working environments, and strategies for daily living that are aimed at enhancing independence and accessibility. We collaborate closely with individuals, families, and caregivers to ensure these recommendations are realistic, effective, and tailored to the specific needs of the individual.

Individualized Training
Kelley Vision and Technology Services delivers specialized training in the use of assistive technologies and daily living skills. Training is designed to empower individuals with the tools and techniques they need to reach their full potential for independence. We also offer training to employers, educators, and service providers to foster a more inclusive environment for individuals with visual impairments and disabilities.

Advocacy
We serve as advocates for the rights and needs of individuals with visual impairments and disabilities, working to promote accessibility, inclusion, and equality. We assist individuals and their families in navigating the educational and employment systems to ensure they receive appropriate accommodations and support. Our advocacy efforts extend to raising public awareness and working with policymakers to create more inclusive communities.
In 2021, Dan provided testimony to the 134th General Assembly of the Ohio House of Representatives in support of Bill 352, which states: “To enact sections 2131.03, 2131.031, 2131.032, 2131.033, and 2131.034 of the Revised Code to generally prohibit a person’s disability from being used to deny or limit custody, parenting time, visitation, adoption, or service as a guardian or foster caregiver, regarding a minor.”
